Whether our students are active players and have
anchored foundations for the game, or our students are brand new to
the game of basketball, R.E.P.S. will help them develop
the mechanics for playing competitive basketball.
-Shooting
R.E.P.S. will teach the fundamentals and mechanics of good shooting form. We strip away bad "driveway" shooting habits and build confidence and follow-through to the rim. -Ball Handling Controlling the ball while driving the team down court is a necessity. We teach ambidextrous ball handling skills that instill that competitive edge in players. -Speed and Agility The harder a player is to guard, the more dangerous that player is to the opposing team. As a defensive player, speed and agility will allow one to shut down the drive and force more turnovers. -Jumping/Strength Increase the vertical jump distance and the ability to get rebounds or physically out-compete the opponent drastically improves. -Defense The old saying goes: "Offense wins games, defense wins championships." R.E.P.S. instructs on defensive methods and tactics as skill levels progress. At R.E.P.S., We strive to start your child out with the basics of basketball skills and improve those skills as your child progresses in age and ability. By the time your child reaches the Jr. High and High School ages, he or she will be far more advanced than fellow teammates. If your child is consistent with his/her study of the game, it could happen that those talents will be recognized by college talent scouts, who frequent youth basketball program tournaments. What better way is there to send your child through college, than on a full basketball scholarship! |
